Night vision glasses
An ultra-thin infrared sensor which they say will allow them to create ultra-thin night vision glasses.
A film that can read 1,500-nanometer infrared wavelengths and convert them into images that are visible to the human eye. The film is operated by a small battery, but it needs much less energy than most night vision devices. It can be placed over any set of lenses to create night-vision glasses. Researchers say the technology could also be used on self-driving cars, to make it easier and safer to drive at night or in foggy conditions.
